WHALE CAMP FACILITIES: All
youth programs are centered at The Whale Camp
facility in Seal Cove. In 1997, the Whale Camp constructed
new facilities on this ten-acre waterfront site. The
dormitories and dining facilities are fully insulated and
heated. All but two rooms are equipped with two bunk beds.
Two rooms have three bunk beds. Each dormitory contains
ample indoor bathroom facilities. The waterfront site has

Lodging for the Family, Adult and Teacher program is provided in comfortable and private beach-front cottages just down the beach from the Whale Camp children's facility. Guests are requested to maintain the quiet atmosphere after daylight hours. As a fisherman's and nature lover's island, Grand Manan is not known for luxuriant facilities. While many of the furnishings are antique; rooms are not equipped with telephones or televisions; doors are latched and not locked. Accommodations are based on double occupancy. HEALTH FACILITY: A licensed physician is on 24-hour call 8 miles from camp. The Grand Manan Hospital, with ambulance and helicopter service is located 15 minutes from camp. All campers must provide their own health/medical insurance coverage and must complete a medical form before coming to camp. Be aware that the Canadian health care system will require credit card or cash payment for service which will be reimbursed by your insurance provider.
