Adult/Teacher Programs:
This one-week session is designed for teachers interested in enriching their curriculum with whales, marine mammals and environmental issues while also having an enriching personal experience. All interested adults will enjoy this adventure. The teacher program is accredited for Pennsylvania teachers as a Professional Development course offered through the Pennsylvania Intermediate Unit System. The Whale Camp is also accredited with New Jersey as a professional development provider. However, any educator or interested adult may attend this program. Each evening, special seminars are presented by the manager of the whale research station or local island experts and time is built into the daytime schedule for classroom curriculum planning and development for teachers. Lodging in the week sessions is provided at comfortable beach-front cabins. All meals except one supper is provided.

Please note that Whale Camp does not provide transportation to Grand Manan Island on the first day of each session. Most individuals drive, while others choose to fly to Bangor, Maine and rent a car for the final trip to the island. For your convenience, Whale Camp has arranged for reduced lodging fees in Bangor on the night prior to the beginning of each session.
