We have been working hard this winter to streamline travel arrangements and make travel days run smoothly. Please read the following information carefully so that you can determine which travel options will be best for your child. OPTION 1 — Fly to Bangor International Airport and Overnight at the Ramada Inn Staff members will be at Bangor International Airport the day before camp starts to pick up campers. From there, we will stay at the Ramada Inn on Odlin Road in Bangor so that we will be ready to depart early the next morning for Grand Manan Island. There is an additional fee of $38.00 (see invoice) for the room. Campers will need money for dinner that evening (depending on time of arrival), breakfast the next morning and lunch on the ferry the next day. They will also need to purchase lunch on the way back to the airport after camp has concluded. We recommend that they bring at least $25 to use for these meals. Both US Airways and American Airlines agree to offer exclusive low fares for Whale Camp attendees. These special fares will be available on any published and promotional round trip fares through Sheila Weinstein of Travel Experts. We have also been lucky enough to receive wavers on some restrictions to make your final fare even lower! The earlier you book, the higher your discount. If you do not want our special discount, and want to book with your own travel agent, please adhere to the following arrival and departure times. If flight conditions make this timing impossible, call the camp director as soon as possible. Please note that some airlines require the purchase of airline security for children traveling alone. Please make sure to check about these requirements so that roundtrip security arrangements can be paid for in advance. OPTION 2 — Drive to Bangor International Airport and Overnight at the Ramada Inn If you choose to drive, we request that you meet us at the Ramada Inn (207-947-6961) in Bangor between 5:30 pm and 9:30 pm on the day before camp starts. Just take exit 45B, off Route 95, at the lights just off the exit turn right onto Odlin Road, the Ramada is immediately on your left.

OPTION 3 — Drive to Ramada Inn You may want to meet us the morning that camp starts. if you choose this option, please meet us at the Ramada Inn (207-947-6961) on Odlin Road in Bangor, Maine no later than 6:30 am on the day your camp session begins. The Ramada Inn can be found off of Interstate 95. Just take exit 45B, at the lights just off the exit turn right onto Odlin Road, the Ramada is immediately on your left, Main Street North. We will start packing in the parking lot at about 6:30 am. Your child will need money for breakfast that morning and lunch on the ferry. They will also need money to purchase lunch on the way back to the airport after camp has concluded. We recommend that they bring at least $25 to use for these meals. Please note that for this option you need to pick up your child from Bangor International Airport on departure day. Meet us at the seats in front of the car rental booths. Please be there between 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm.
